Literally thousands of "Tea Parties" held all around the country, hundreds of thousands march on Washington DC, virtually every legitimate poll illustrated a plurality of Americans opposed Obama Care. This was a grass roots effort like never before, but to what avail?
Democrats in Washington DC. ignore their constituents and pass legislation that every American that holds our Constitutional liberties dear believe is a move that mere words can not describe.
So was this effort a gigantic waste of time? I don't think so and neither should you. There is no doubt that we will hear those that question the Tea Parties ability to stay focused until November, that the grass roots movement we witnessed in 2009 will lose intensity, that like the liberties swiped away with the passage of Obama Care, we will let ourselves be tread upon like Progressive Liberals tread upon the Constitution. If Tea Parties fade this summer without another gigantic march on Washington, we will be presumed D.O.A.
The only march that counts now is the march to the polls in November. If you want to coordinate a march, want to get folks riled up to take action, do it for the November Elections because it is the Vote That Counts.
There are 253 Democrats in the United States House Of Representatives, 219 voted for Obama Care. If you want to stage a protest that makes a difference, protest in November by voting every single Democrat that Voted for Obama Care out of office! There are 59 Democrats in the United States Senate, 18 are up for Election in November; replace every single one with a Republican! The right to protest through voting is one right Progressive Liberals have not taken away...yet. Make sure they don't.
Its my personal opinion is that the talking heads on TV and Radio continually underestimate the American People. All I heard on the Monday after Obama Care was passed was that repeal of the bill would be virtually impossible, that the best chance to override it would be through the courts. Why, because analysts don't believe we can take back enough seats in Congress to override a Presidential Veto. If the courts overrule Obama Care, great, if not don't give up. The power still resides with the people, we just have to use it in November.
